Endless progress on Marylou
Few more hours on Marylou body suit project. On the first day I got to tight together the back and the arm backgrounds. Three days after I colored the chrysanthemum and the loose petals floating around the right arm, you can already see the healed background at the 3rd day, witch is quite amazing. More progress shot soon when I start coloring the Tiger on back.
Progress on Jonathan
It’s been a while since my last post, Honestly quite busy working on 2023 schedule,.
Here is a shot of Jonathan back koi and peonies, super happy the way is turning, he prefer smooth and soft tones of grays, not usually my approach to Japanese tattooing but still so much fun and interesting to see how this take form and shape sitting by sitting.

2 hours progress on Sarah.
Two more hours on Sarah’s Fudo today. Finally we’re able to start coloring after a month break, everything went smoothly, I was able to used my Violator shader from Mike Godfrey with a 9mag at 5,5 volts as you can see no trauma and no bleeding on the skin.
Sunday walks-in at Brussels Tattoo Convention.
Finally I’m home, is been an absolutely pleasure to get on the road again and be available to do some conventions after the pandemic years.
Is Sunday around 12 pm at B.T.C the convention has already opened for more than an hour, machine’s are still buzzing luckily for those that still romanticized the sound of Coils tattoo Machines, is getting crowded around our booths and suddenly Jan show up and pointed at a blue dragon that I have on display for take. Unfortunately the dragon design it was already too big for Jan intentions of match his tattoo, so after a brief talk he asked if I did have any mask design that could fit on his right side of his chest panel. I showed few different styles of masks and then he did make his choice.
At first I was supposed to go crazy on the background but after a quick second look, I mentioned to him that the best opción was to match as much possible the background feeling from the other side of the chest, it took around 5 hours or more to complete this chest and we both couldn’t be more happy with the results, unfortunately the lightning at the B.T.C is more than poor for photography so I did what I could. Anyways this 2 photographs represented the true of this tattoo, no fancy lightning from Amazon or special filter to make the tattoo and the color looks what is not in reality.
I would like to thanks to Jan once again for choosing me to do his tattoo and for endurance and went through all those hours without a complaint.
Pontus Munewari.
Pontus stop by the studio last night to set up the winter schedule for his appointments, so I took the chance to get his shirt out the way and took some really beautiful shoots of his on going munewari project in b&w with my Leica.
Pontus it’s been a dedicated client for years, we do regularly sittings every month for about 2 hours each session, the same way that some of the Japanese Masters used to work, tattooing they clientele few times a week for about 45 minutes each session. This may surprise to many people but working like that give the client the opportunity to learn about his own pain tolerance, its also help the client to not get too scary or too exhausted after every single session in what’s usually ends up with the client leaving the projects uncompleted.
More progress for Marina’s Dragon.
Recently we had the pleasure to travel all the way up to the Northeast of Sweden, for a small and intimate tattoo convention in Luleå.
While there, I got the chance to continue on Marina’s front dragon just before the convention started, best of times!
